Washington Chapter

The Washington Chapter has been very active for well over twenty years. Currently, there are more than 250 members of CEFPI International that reside in Washington – most of whom are actively involved in the Chapter. School district employees, architects, engineers, and industry partners join together in a variety of events each year to learn from one another and promote best practices for the design and construction of schools. The board of directors for the 2007 - 2008 session has crafted a vision statement for this year's activities – A Catalyst for Relevant Learning Environments. We invite you to join us as we bring our vision to life!

The Chapter will hold five Chapter Dinner Meetings – in September, October, February, March, and June. Each meeting will be preceded by a tour of a new or modernized school that exhibits an exemplar-learning environment that reinforced our adopted vision. Then, at a nearby restaurant we will socialize and enjoy dinner together following will be an education-related guest speaker and/ or student produced art, music, or film. The Chapter will also host a Holiday Social in December, arrange a full-day bus tour of schools, and celebrate School Building Week in the spring.
